Welcome to the Holy Cross Theater Ensemble
Theater Ensemble Mission Statement
Learning
We are tasked with carrying on the school tradition of academic excellence. The HCTE is dedicated to a STREAM based approach to plot research and character development. Students are required to experiment with various acting methods and use them in conjunction with choreography and music. Our student technicians are taught sound, lighting and costume design from professionals in the Northeastern Pennsylvania theater community.
Growth
We believe that by providing an atmosphere where everyone is welcomed and supported our members will feel challenged to realize their full potential. We foster the good habits and proper form that will encourage our members to build their own skill set.
Service
We the are the storytellers of our community. Our story begins with service and our legacy continues through those we serve. We work to support local community theater and provide volunteers for fundraisers that support educational theater.
Integrity
We will always strive to be a true representation of Holy Cross High School. The respect for the intellectual work of others that is learned in the classroom is expected at the Theater Ensemble rehearsals. We hope to provide our audience with a true representation of the playwright’s vision.
Leadership
We lead by example. Our goal is to set an example to both our school community and our audiences. We live our faith and promote the virtues that we learn in the Gospels.
